Sitting the "Is it Possible to Make a Photograph of NJ..."  show. April/May 2008

I volunteered to do this two Saturdays. Now I know what those people do who sit in galleries all day. <sigh> I had six digital photos in this show. Great catalog! I was in really good company, photographers from all over the world. After The Baird in South Orange, the show will travel to various places in NJ and eventually find it's way to Newark Public Library to be archived in the photography collection. The full title is: "Is it Possible to Make a Photograph of New Jersey Regardless of Where you are in the World."

Muses II, Robeson Gallery Rutgers, Newark - May-July 2008

Katherine is in second grade and is an amazing artist. Her watercolor painting of a zoo is in the middle of the three pieces hanging vertically beside my portrait of Aria. The two oil pastels are by two of my other second grade students, Stephany and Nicole. For two years in a row, Newark Public Schools Arts Faculty were invited to show our work with that of our students in a juried exhibition. I have no pictures from last year, alas; it was a good show, too.

Aria in the Glass, in a Coffee Shop, in Mexico - Pastel, 20x28" 2008

This is the last pastel I've completed to date, May 2008. There is another pinned to my drawing board that is just plain stuck.
